Myriam Soto

Ms. Myriam is a dedicated, creative, enthusiastic Montessori Guide who earned her Infant / Toddler certification from the North American Montessori Center. She has worked as a Lead Teacher and a Montessori Coordinator. She also has an HR Bachelor’s Degree, which has allowed her to generate a professional and positive relationship with coworkers and parents and, most importantly, work as part of a team. She particularly favors Montessori Education because children can learn through their own experience and at their own pace. This approach gives them skills and systems of accountability, meaningful and challenging learning, responsibility, time, and project management skills. It helps create an environment that fosters self-regulation and motivated and successful learning outcomes. Her goal is to offer children a chance to develop their potential as they step out into the world as engaged, responsible, and respectful citizens who embrace learning as a lifelong journey.

She was born in Mexico and moved to Austin 8 years ago. As a native of Mexico, Ms. Myriam wants to help expand bilingualism amongst children, as she believes it will open doors for them in their future endeavors. She has coordinated the Spanish Immersion program for the infant, toddler, and primary classes. Implementing the Spanish Immersion program has given her much satisfaction because you can see how the children truly bloom through the Montessori Philosophy and the second language. 

Ms. Myriam enjoys exploring nature with her son and husband in her spare time.
